How is everyone? I totally promised I would have this post up last week some time, but honestly the days get away from me, most of the time. I just started a new job at Aritzia as a style advisor! It is so much different than how I'm usually used to working, but I love it. It's something I'm obviously way more interested in and passionate about. I have always shopped at Aritzia and loved their pieces, so I'm happy I've made some sort of a change and made a step in the right direction. I'm working on getting into their merchandising, which is what I really would like to be doing. I love visual displays and the placement of pieces to make the store aesthetically pleasing as possible. I just started so it might take a bit to get to where I want to be, but not working full time at the restaurant has already lifted a weight off my shoulders!
Anyways, let me get back to this look. This was more of an everyday look, which I don't do that often, but I wanted to do something simple. I've been living in this long-line coat from H&M. It's got a good percentage of wool in it, and it keeps me super warm during these chilly Boston winter nights. Underneath I have my trusty silk cami from Reformation that I've been living in. I wore it in my last blog post which my boyfriend shot. I wanted to style it one more time with an experienced photog to pick up it's sheen and it's silkiness in all its' glory. I layered the cami over a boxy black tee from Mango. The bottom half are my cropped girlfriend jeans from UO. They're a little tight, should have sized up, but I'll squeeze into them or now (gotta watch my pastry intake). I wanted to keep the color minimal, as usual, so my babouche slides from Need Supply came in handy, but I fancied it up a little with these nude fishnet socks. I've been wearing them with everything. I just ordered some black fishnet tights to wear under ripped jeans and I can't wait to be ~so~ edgy. I topped off the look with my favorite Karen Walkers, some old chokers from F21, and this to die for circle bag I got while I was in NYC at The Frankie Shop. You guys neeeed to check the shop out if you're on the East Coast. Their pieces are exquisite and the prices are fairly reasonable!
