Hello there!

How is everyone? I totally promised I would have this post up last week some time, but honestly the days get away from me, most of the time. I just started a new job at Aritzia as a style advisor! It is so much different than how I'm usually used to working, but I love it. It's something I'm obviously way more interested in and passionate about. I have always shopped at Aritzia and loved their pieces, so I'm happy I've made some sort of a change and made a step in the right direction. I'm working on getting into their merchandising, which is what I really would like to be doing. I love visual displays and the placement of pieces to make the store aesthetically pleasing as possible. I just started so it might take a bit to get to where I want to be, but not working full time at the restaurant has already lifted a weight off my shoulders!

Anyways, let me get back to this look. This was more of an everyday look, which I don't do that often, but I wanted to do something simple. I've been living in this long-line coat from H&M. It's got a good percentage of wool in it, and it keeps me super warm during these chilly Boston winter nights. Underneath I have my trusty silk cami from Reformation that I've been living in. I wore it in my last blog post which my boyfriend shot. I wanted to style it one more time with an experienced photog to pick up it's sheen and it's silkiness in all its' glory. I layered the cami over a boxy black tee from Mango. The bottom half are my cropped girlfriend jeans from UO. They're a little tight, should have sized up, but I'll squeeze into them or now (gotta watch my pastry intake). I wanted to keep the color minimal, as usual, so my babouche slides from Need Supply came in handy, but I fancied it up a little with these nude fishnet socks. I've been wearing them with everything. I just ordered some black fishnet tights to wear under ripped jeans and I can't wait to be ~so~ edgy. I topped off the look with my favorite Karen Walkers, some old chokers from F21, and this to die for circle bag I got while I was in NYC at The Frankie Shop. You guys neeeed to check the shop out if you're on the East Coast. Their pieces are exquisite and the prices are fairly reasonable!

Hey All!

How is everyone doing? I'm doing pretty good. It's election day here in the good ole' U.S of A and I just got back from voting! I hope you guys all do the same, it's super important for our future! Anyways, enough political talk, here's a look I shot last week with my boyfriend. How good of a job did he do? I don't think he really had any experience with a DSLR but he rocked it! He needs a bit more practice on focusing, but I think he's killing it! He's so cute, he always helps me out anytime I need blog stuff done. I wanna do a menswear post soon with him as my model! Anyways, this look is one of my favorites. I paired this yellow/taupe velvet blazer with layers. I started off with a brown knit with a mock neck first, and then layered my satin cami on top. I finished it off with a pair of basic black skinnies, since the top half is definitely the conversation starter, my pointy black flats, and my cute little bee bag from Zara! Enjoy!

blazer - Mango (my color is currently out of stock, but they have light blue and nude in stock) | jeans - Topshop | shoes - The Frankie Shop | bag - Zara | knit - H&M | cami - Reformation | sunnies - Shevoke | belt - Asos |

I love this blazer endlessly. I can't wait to wear it a million times. I am so obsessed with velvet, it's almost sickening. And that silk cami? It's perfect. I love layering it over t-shirts, which is super trendy right now. I'm also obsessing over the little bee bag. It's the cutest!

skincare i'm loving

HEYY!

I haven't done a beauty or skincare post in literal months. I miss it! I love skincare and beauty and am seriously so passionate about it. I am in Sephora or on their online shop almost every other day. I love looking up new products, or what other bloggers are using.

First up, I have this Korres Pomegranate Toner. This stuff rocks. I use it after I cleanse my skin at night and it cleans shit up. I have always had semi-problem skin. I for sure get breakouts always around that time of the month, and have always had an uneven skin tone regardless. This toner helps with all of that. It exfoliates while wiping away the dirt and impurities that my make-up wipes left behind. It tightens pores and feeds my skin some rejuvenation after a long day at work. It also has a mild, sweet smell to it. I find most toners have a harsh alcoholic scent to them sometimes, which immediately turns me off. This is a bit pricey at $22 for a toner, but I really don't use much, and it seems to be helping my skin out.

Next is the Dr. Jart Micro Milk Peel. I saw Serena Goh using this on her snapchat and was instantly intrigued. I looked up reviews on Sephora and saw people LOVED it, so I wanted to try it out. It comes with the milk peel, and a bunch of cotton pads. One side of the pad is textured, for exfoliating, and the other side is softer for more sensitive skin. It says it is good for all skin types which is amazing. It is designed to keep skin smooth and flawless. It is supposed to exfoliate all while improving the skin's suppleness. It has lactic and salicylic acids, coconut milk and glutathione which tones and brightens! I have used it a couple of times and it takes off CRAZY amounts of impurities. I scrubbed my face with two make-up wipes before using the peel, and I could still see dirt on the cotton pads. It also leaves my skin super smooth. I've used both sides of the cotton pad, just to experiment, and I like using it both ways. I do have sensitive skin so the cotton side feels great, but I love the gauze side to scrub away dirt and excess oil. I will totally report back with my full thoughts after I finish the bottle and if it was worth the $42.

Lastly I have another Korres product! This is their Wild Rose Brightening Eye Cream. I am constantly on the hunt for a good eye cream. I want the La Mer one so bad, but it's insanely expensive. I love this one though. It's so velvety in texture and soaks right into the skin. I use their wild rose face oil, and love that, so I thought I would give the eye cream a try. I really do like it. I've always had an issue with under eye bags and dark circles, especially since my skin is so fair. The cream brightens and tightens. There is rose oil in this cream as well, with rose-gold toned optical brighteners that add luminosity. I have only used it a couple times, but I can totally see added brightness when I apply it, but so far I love it.

Any skincare you've been loving lately?

hi friends!

It's been a little, but not too long, which is what I was afraid of. I've definitely been trying to keep this blog and my content more consistent, but it's not easy. Is anyone else breaking under the pressure of these damn student loans? I am paying up the wa-zoo for my degree, and barely even using it... I have a degree in marketing, and I need a real job ASAP. I am so sick of serving tables! I don't think it's beneath me, I just feel like I was put on this earth to do more than that for sure. Anyways, here's a look I shot with the amazing Regan! That link will take you to her Instagram, which is super cool. She has a good eye, and I loved working with her! I am still finding the groove of things after I put the blog on hold for a bit, but I'm slowly getting on board again.

This look I loved on all accounts. This DOPE rose gold trench really did it for me though.  I love the movement on it, and the silkiness is right on trend. I also went with other current trends and layered this old maroon slip dress over this camel turtleneck. I wanted to pair it with these sock booties from Topshop that I have, but I'm a dummy and left them at home, so I went with these cool ankle booties from Zara instead. They have a geometric shape, with hard edges, so they toughened up this softer look. I really like the different hues of the look too. I'm a sucker for rosy/beige tones as we might have concluded. Haha, enjoy!

Hellllloooo out there

I haven't blogged in a while, wow. I am mildly depressed that my dear friend/photographer Maura moved back to Chicago, and I've been having a hard time finding a replacement, not that anyone could replace her, but she's a little far for shoots :\

This is from the last shoot I did with her before she left, I can't even remember exactly when this was, but I'm living for the sportiness of this. I rarely do sporty looks, but the leather pants and trench softened it a bit for me. I do love a good Calvin sweatshirt as well.

Either way, I'm really trying to find a photographer, so hopefully that happens soon, so this blog can get back into full swing!

If anyone knows of a Boston area photographer, please let me know! I want to start shooting again so badly!

WOW.

It feels so weird to be typing a blog post right now. I literally haven't even looked at my blog in like, months. I have some reasons.

1. My blog has been down the past couple months because of a domain/blogger issue that I could not find answers on.  I was calling my domain host and they were such a lack of help it was almost astonishing. They were telling me Blogger was the problem and that I needed new IP addresses to re-connect my blog since my renewal for my domain name expired. It was a long and annoying process, but today I just sat down, figured shit out, and I'm live again baby!

2. My personal life is way more important than blogging. I'm sorry, but my well-being and happiness obviously comes first over this blog. I went through a break-up back in August which sort of motivated me to work on my blog harder, and become better. That all went sort of backwards when I started getting involved with a new guy a few months after. When I get into new relationships, I get tunnel vision. That person becomes the apple of my eye. I can't concentrate on anything else, I become obsessed. I want to spend every waking minute with them, there's no time for anyone/anything else. I'm definitely in the honeymoon stage, but I'm enjoying it.  I realize that's not healthy, but it only lasts for a bit. It's just something new and exciting, and putting effort, time and energy into this new relationship was and still is super important to me. So if that means spending less time creating content to be with him, that's ok because I'm happy doing both, but human interaction is way more rewarding than talking about clothes and make-up on the internet (even though I love it)

ALSO I'm the biggest procrastinator on this planet, so yea.

Anyways, I literally shot this look around Valentine's Day (hence the pops of pink) but due to unlikely circumstances I'm posting the look at the end of March! Enjoy!

I'm gonna try to create some content tomorrow or Thursday! Thanks for hanging in there with me!

flares - theory | tank - h&m | coat - forever 21 | shoes - zara | belt - madewell | pin - asos

I swear I'll be a neutral girl until I die. I for the life of me, can not seem to get into color. I am just all about the classic camels, creams, grays and of course black. Is gold considered a color? There's my answer. Anyways, I paired this perfectly cut crushed velvet tank with my trust camel flares. I layered a bralette underneath for some coverage since the tank is a bit low-cut. I topped off the look with my tan coat, some cream ballerina shoes (which I love for Spring) and my little hairpin that I got from Asos for next to nothing!
