There you have it, last month's favorites. I can't even deal with how fast this month flew by. I seriously feel like July was yesterday, and this year is so close to over. I know I have come such a long way this year with the quality of my content and my consistency in posting. I remember first starting this blog with the intentions of my friend Maura running it with me. At first, I was so incredibly lost and scared on how to style my posts and what looks I wanted on this blog because it is a digital representation of myself. It's been almost a year and a half since then, and I am so happy with how far I've progressed and how my style has evolved for the better. I love blogging and styling so much, and it is a free form of creative outflow for me. It's sort of like therapy in a way. Enough rambling though....
This past month has been all about the suede for me. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I've been wearing some form of suede almost everyday. These boots are no exception. I love the fact that they are over-the-knee, and the lace up tie in the back is what kills me. I have an upcoming style post with these bad boys, and I want to style them with a skirt or dress soon for a holiday look?!!? Next up is this camel colored beanie I scooped from H&M. The color is so in right now, and I love the texture it adds to a look. My last fashion favorite is this vintage doctor-style bag. It's a beautiful olive green color, and in such good condition. I got it for next to nothing too. I don't use it often, but I did use it yesterday to get my nails done with my friend Brigid and I loved the classic vibe it adds!
For beauty bits this month, I recently picked up this Sephora fan brush for highlighting. I usually use a tapered brush, but I like the fan brush effect a lot better. It places the product perfectly on my cheek bones to give me a nice glow. The tapered brush would transfer too much of the product, in turn making me look TOO shiny. The hairs on the fan brush are also really soft. It's great quality! Next, I feel like I've been talking so much about these MJ lipliners, but they are some of my favorites I've come across! This is Nude(ist) and it lets me achieve that perfect nude lip everyone wants, all with giving me a bit of a pout since the formula is infused with collagen! My other favorite lip product is Bite's matte cream lip crayon in "Leche", which is described as a dusty pale pink (surprise, surprise). I just finished up the same crayon but in Amaretto, and need another STAT. The formula is so creamy, and the pigmentation is tough to beat! I have also been loving Lorac's Pocket Pro. I am a HUGE fan of the Pro Palette. I pretty much used mine to death, so I've been using a MUFE palette recently. This little guy is so perfect to take on the go with me. I use the Espresso shade every single day to line my lower lash line. I would always need touch-up's through the day, but obviously never carried a whole palette with me. This solved the problem! I can touch up my liner, add a little Pewter to my lid if my shadows are faded, and use Nude for either a brow highlight, or for a little inner corner action!
My last favorite of the month is the Sugar Paper x Target 2016 planner. I had no idea this collaboration was even happening, but I'm so happy I discovered it! The color scheme in this line of products has my name written all over them. Pale pinks and rose golds. I scooped this planner, and also a calendar which you can view here. I can not wait to fill this baby up!
P.S. I kind of like the idea of not only reviewing my favorite products of the month, but sort of reviewing a little of what has been happening in my life the past month as well, personally. I don't share too many personal aspects of my life with this blog because this is a professional portfolio for me. I don't take it too seriously because it is a hobby and I love doing it, but it's always nice to express how I'm feeling and look back on my ideas.
