Currently Craving

currently craving

These are on my list. Most are more of a lust, because $$$. I love the Zara stole.  I will definitely be putting that on my Christmas list. The shearling bag is to die for. I saw it on Britt of Thrifts and Threads and fell in love.  I've also been into bomber jackets. I have a navy blue Acne one that I am going to style super soon, but I want more of an over-sized one, and this Nomia one looks like the perfect option! I'm all about the nude movement so these Stella booties and Chloe pumps are perfection. Both pairs are so beautiful. I also want to get rid of the rug in my room and replace it with a faux hide. I like the rustic look, so that might be going on my X-mas list as well.

Wrapped Up

Jacket : H&M | Turtleneck : Madewell | Jeans : Topshop | Sneakers : Lacoste | Choker : Anita K. via Nasty Gal | Bag : Chloe via Bag, Borrow Or Steal

I feel like I've been doing super minimalist looks lately, but honestly less is more. I always am so hard on myself with it comes to styling looks because I'm such a perfectionist. I have a certain standard in mind, and won't stop until I feel like I've achieved a certain aesthetic. I don't really invest in too many trendy items, because the item will go out of style eventually. I like to keep my look crisp and clean. I obviously kept the color palette camel-toned. I saw Gigi Hadid wearing a VERY similar camel coat to this one, and underneath she had on a caramel colored turtleneck. I loved it, and immediately wanted to replicate it. I topped it off with my ankle grazers from Topshop, my trusty sneaks, and this Chloe bag. I borrowed it off Bag, Borrow or Steal and got a great deal on it. I have it for a month, and just send it back when I'm done. I figured it would be awesome to do a couple of shoots with, and put in a couple of Instagram's, all without spending $1,800! I love Chloe bags, but the pricetag is usually way too high for right now!

Camel and Cropped

Turtleneck : Only Hearts (similar here ) | Pants : Theory | Boots : Ash | Bag : Cos | Belt : Target | Sunglasses : Super Sunglasses

I am living for this look! I could wear these pants every single day of my life. There are so many different ways to style them! I think they would look amazing with some pointed flats and and a nice blazer. I kept the look rather simple, since the culottes are the star of the show. I love this cropped turtleneck but I can never find it online anywhere, so I found a similar option at Asos. This was shot by the amazing Maura! Check out here Instagram here and her website is here!

Insta Round Up

Monday, November 16, 2015

I used to go these "week-stagram" posts where I would share all my Instagram posts of that week, but I like the idea of picking ten favorite pictures each month and doing a little "Insta favorites" better. I try to post on Instagram twice a day, so there's a lot to chose from. This is going to be hard. I had so many I wanted to include! My mom celebrated her birthday last month, so I loved the picture we took for that. I also included a couple of my favorite flatlays I've taken the past month. I take pride in a good flatlay! Some coffee shots, obviously. A coffee shop, obviously. I loved the ootd shot I did in Florida with the nude dress and suede jacket. I loved the background for that shot, it was actually a took shed! Haha. I also chose a detail shot from a recent look I did. I loved the turtleneck with a suede belt. My last picked are a #FWIS little number, a snap of my recent visit to Niche, and a monthly #bedsidevibes picture. Hope you enjoyed!

So I realize I'm the worst saying I had a beauty post coming Friday, and then just didn't post one. I had every intention of shooting these pictures and editing, and uploading on Friday. Life happened. I had a shoot early Friday with Maura, then shot the pictures, and didn't have enough time to complete the post because I had plans with some friends. Anyways, enough excuses, let's get into these lip liners. So I don't really review too many products anymore, but these I had to mention. I'm in love with the Marc Jacobs Beauty Poutliner Longwear Lip Liners. There are three available shades, and I have two of them. The bottom picture is the pinky nude shade, Honey(bun). The top picture is Nude(ist), which is described as a cafe au lait. I love these lipliners, because I do not have the poutiest lips in the world, and these liners seriously plump up my lips. They are collagen-infused, and I have definitely noticed. They give me such a nice pout, and the formula is so creamy. The liner may look a little uneven in the pictures, because I have freckles all around my mouth, so it screws with the look of my lip products! Anyways, I love the way these liners define and shape my lips. I have worn these all day long on my lips, without movement. I have the Marc Jacobs lipstick in Understudy, which is a perfect match with Honey(bun), and they're a match made in heaven. The color stays put, and the formula is so moisturizing! I also love the fact that you don't have to sharpen them, you just twist the bottom and more product is pushed up. The packaging is clearly gorgeous, but the color on top on them does get a little worn out if you carry them around with you a lot. They're on the pricier side at $24 a pop, but a good lip liner is hard to find. I feel like most will make my lips
super dry or be hard to blend, and some get chunky (gross, I know). I really hope they come out with more colors soon, because I'm hooked on these liners!

November Fur

Coat : Theory | Turtleneck : Madewell | Jeans : Topshop | Boots : Ash | Belt : Madewell | Sunglasses : Retro Super Future |

I'm seriously so bad at being productive. It's been such a hectic few weeks in my life. I've dealt with some personal problems, as well as my manager passing away recently, so life has been a whirlwind. So I apologize for the lack of posts. It's not that I haven't wanted to post, but with life happening and daylight savings ruining my life, it's harder than before. I am gonna start pre-planning some content (let's see how long this lasts). I obviously have another job that takes me off the face of the planet for four days a week, (I still am active on Twitter and Instagram, though!) but I'm going to start meeting with a photographer regularly, and when that can't happen my OG photog (mom) will step in.

About this look; I have been seeing fur stoles everywhere lately. I wanted to make this look my own but detaching the fur collar that came on this Theory coat, and wearing it as a stole. I think it looks great. I topped it off with some ankle grazer jeans, and my new suede booties!

I have a beauty post coming tomorrow! Finally!

P.S I am sorry about my hair in this post, it was doing weird things and my mom obviously didn't notice!

October Favorites

Tuesday, November 3, 2015

I finally rounded up what I've been loving for the past month. I did not go hard in the beauty category at all. I have been buying dresses, accessories, boots, and coats for the past month. I think I only made it into Sephora once in the last four weeks, which is highly irregular for me. I do have a couple things I have been loving, but fashion was definitely on my mind this month.

My first favorite is this gorgeous H&M Studio Knit that I wore in my last style post. I can't say no to winter whites, and this knit is perfect. Turtlenecks are still in this season, so I am loving that along with the ribbed texture at the neck and wrists. I love layering this under my camel coat, it's a match made in heaven. My next favorite is this H&M suede belt. I wore this also in my last post, and I wear it several days a week. I love the added look it gives to my usually simple. yet chic everyday ensemble. My favorite denim this month is none other than my Amo Twists. I also wear these several days a week, and I can't seem to get enough of cropped jeans. I also love the little slit at the ankle, such a nice added detail. Next, I have been obsessed with Calvin Klein undergarments all month. I never buy these full price. I usually just stroll in to my local Marshall's, and they have CK underwear and bra's for a fraction of MSRP. I always scoop up a bra and some underwear if I can. The bra's are nicely made, and provide full support, and the underwear are some of the comfiest I've ever had.

For beauty this month, I have really been loving One Love Organic's Vitamin C Serum. I love this brand. I also have their eye balm, which I use everyday. The serum brightens my dull skin during the colder months here in Boston, The serum brings luminosity and moisturizes my uneven complexion. It's on the pricier side, but in my opinion, good skincare is worth it. I picked up the Nars Audacious Mascara about three weeks ago, and I'm obsessed! It combs out my lashes and makes them so long and thick! I was hesitant to try it, since I had JUST bought the Givenchy Noir Couture mascara and was not impressed with the formula. I ended up loving the Nars one though and am so glad I bought it! I want to do a full review on it really soon! My last beauty favorite is Glossier's Boy Brow! I purchased this recently, but I've been using it a lot to top off my brows. I'll go in with my Brow Wiz as I usually do, then fill in the beginning of my brows, where this is scarce hair, to give them a thicker look. I got the blonde shade and it matches perfectly with my caramel colored pencil!
