Dressing for Spring is all about light layers, beachy accessories and embracing the amazing weather! It was a tad windy today in the North Shore of Boston, but I am really looking forward to skirts, sandals and dresses everyday. This trouser/straw hat/layered look will have to do for now though!

Beauty Haul!

Friday, April 24, 2015

I filmed a quick little beauty haul earlier and thought I'd share it! Let me know what you think!

Today I had the lovely opportunity of visiting the Fresh Blue Box Pop-Up shop at the Prudential Center in Boston. It was a gorgeous day outside, so my friend Brigid and I went over to see what the pop-up was all about. It was honestly such a cute and inviting set-up. The first station was a lip treatment station, where the Fresh team had you scrub your lips with their amazing brown sugar lip scrub, which I own and love to pieces. Then they asked what sort of lip color you use on an everyday basis. I picked pink, so they had me use their Rosè lip treatment, which was so beautiful. The next stop was to go into their little blue truck and view what sort of lip treatments they had available and what new products they were advertising. You couldn't buy anything at the pop-up, but their Newbury Street location was just a short walk away. The last stop of the pop-up was a really fun photo booth, which unfortunately wasn't working at the time, but we had a great time regardless. After the pop-up, Brigid and I went to the Fresh store and shopped around. We even made our own cosmetic pouches! They scanned our lip print onto the canvas! It was an amazing time.

I have loved Fresh beauty for such a long time, and they have a spot close to my heart since they actually originated in Boston. I want to thank Fresh for inviting me to this wonderful pop-up, and for all of the little goodies I received! They are actually taking the Blue Box pop-up across America, so be on the lookout in your hometown!

This dress I love. I saw it on Zara a couple of weeks ago and instantly thought "Isabel Marant". It screams touches and inspiration of the French designer, which is why I was eager to pick it up. Zara does a lot of imitation of higher end brands through their own collections, which can be considered crass. It honestly doesn't bother me much though because I'm on a budget and can get trendy items for a percentage of what the designer counterpart is producing.

P.S Zara you should really start sponsoring me because all my looks consist of your clothes, thanks.

Beauty Review : Becca

Wednesday, April 15, 2015

So I bought some Becca products last week and I think I have a new serious obsession with everything they make. I bought their Moonstone Skin Perfector a while back, and have been legit OBSESSED with it ever since. I leapt and ordered their Ever-Matte Pore-less Primer and their Illuminating Skin Perfector in Opal. I had received a sample of the primer a while back, and used it up within a week or so. I really liked it, so I ordered a full size. I also really wanted to buy the Illuminator a while back, but decided against it. My friend had picked it up, I tried it out, and ordered it the next day. My Moonstone highlighter is a lot lighter. It has a iridescent glow, and looks amazing with my porcelain skin. Opal has more bronze undertones in it. It's almost like a rose gold glow on your face. This Illuminator is going to be perfect for me all summer long when I want a fresh glow on my face.

Consistency of the primer. It's super thick and pasty, but really does minimize pores and smoothes over skin. (I've come to the conclusion that my hand will never ever photograph well)

Without the Illuminator.

With the Illuminator. My cheekbones look super glowy! These pictures aren't amazing because it's currently 6 PM. You gotta do what you gotta do.

Striped and Tasseled

Tuesday, April 14, 2015

I am seriously so obsessed with this look. I want to wear it every single day of the week. I paired this amazing striped skirt with an open front blouse, and topped it off with some wedges, a black suede bag and some tassel jewelry. Also, these are the first pictures with my new lens. I am loving how crisp and clear the pictures came out! Let me know what you think. Also, I am doing a beauty review tomorrow! Stay tuned!

Also, most of these items are from Zara, I sort of went hard the other day.

P.S How is my new blog layout? I was getting so sick of that pink header, it was childish. I like my crisp, clean look a lot more!

Currently Craving

Friday, April 10, 2015

currently craving

This is what I'm currently craving at the moment. I am seriously so depressed I am not at Coachella right now. It's where I belong, and it's just super unfortunate it wasn't in the cards for me this year. This post is 100% festival inspired. I have been DYING for this backpack, and with that dress and those sandals? Perfect combination. I have also really been wanting to try this Becca liquid highlighter, since I love their Skin Perfector so much. I have also been wanting to try Byredo products for a while; Gypsy Water will definitely be my next scent purchased.

Also, I just re-arranged my entire room today. I got a new garment rack (hah), some Alex drawers from Ikea (!!!!) and some other cute stuff. I wanted a cowhide for my floor so bad when I went there today, it would have looked amazing on my floor against the hard wood. They were real cowhides though, and seeing the skin in pure hide was a bit too much for me to handle so I decided against it. I love the look though so I might go for a faux one if I can find it.

What are you currently craving?

P.S I got a suuuuper nice lens today for my Canon! Blog pictures are gonna be on point! I also got a tripod for more videos, and a little remote so I can go out and take some of my own photos! I can't wait!

Tuesday, April 7, 2015

I picked up a few things at Ulta the other day when I had some free time in between hanging out with a few friends. I grabbed some brushes from the Bold Metals collection from Real Techniques first. I thought they would be a good addition to my collection, and they are so aesthetically pleasing that it was hard not to buy them. I picked up the powder brush, a liner brush, and a tapered blush brush. I love them a lot so far! I also picked up the Mario Badescu Rose Water Facial Spray. I love using this as a setting spray after I've done my make-up. I think it really makes my face make-up last longer through-out the day. Lastly, I picked up the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone, which is my favorite buy. It looks INCREDIBLE on my skin. It's the perfect shade for my porcelain complexion and gives me a much needed glow. My skin tends to look dull after a long winter of dryness, so this was a nice pick-me-up...

After Moonstone (glowy skin for days!)

P.S I saw Furious 7 on Friday and I'm like still not over it. I am still not over Paul Walker's death. He is the most beautiful human being that ever lived. RIP HANDSOME.

P.P.S I realize I'm insane about obsessing over a dead person but I honestly can't help it.
