Hey All!

So I did a something little different today. I had sort of a weird day, so I didn't get a chance to do an outfit post or anything, but I sort of wanted to do something outside the box for me. I am gonna do my November favorites on Monday. Until then, I wanted to do sort of a weekly round-up of my Instagram. Insta is by far my favorite social media platform. I am on it 24/7 and I think it is a great way to promote my blog and my style. I think I will try to continue to do these round-up's every Friday if I can remember.

I think these will be fun to look back on in the future! They're also a good incentive for you to follow me on Instagram! Click the button on the sidebar to do so!

Wednesday Inspiration

Wednesday, November 26, 2014

Hey All!

So today was absolutely disgusting outside, so taking pictures was out of the question. It was miserable! It rained for half the day, then just sleeted. Today I was browsing Tumblr and just took some images that really inspired me. I love browsing Tumblr for cool, unique images. They always give me ideas for posts and for my blog in general! How do you stay inspired?

Belted and Beanied

Tuesday, November 25, 2014

Hey Everyone!

Sorry it's been a while. You wouldn't even believe the amount of work I've had to put in for school these last couple of weeks. I've had a lot of group presentations, which is probably my worst nightmare. I am without a doubt the worst public speaker in the world, but I've gotten a tad better. Anyways, I am so excited that the holidays are right around the corner! I can NOT believe how quickly this year has gone by! My birthday is next month, which means New York City. My boyfriend booked the hotel room last night, we're staying at the Waldorf. I am beyond excited.

But, for this look I went seriously layered. I also went with definitely a more casual vibe, I love this look! So effortless! I also am loving the location, you can sort of see the Boston skyline in the background, it's just blocked by that island!

5 Favorite Heels

Wednesday, November 19, 2014

Hey All!

I was gonna do an outfit post today, but it gets so dark here so quick, that's it's seriously hard to fit in. I love the holidays, but the amount of daylight we get here in New England is so limited! It sucks! So everything I plan I have to rush because of my race against the sun.

Anyways, I thought outside the box and shot 5 pairs of my favorite heels. They change a lot, but these are my five current favorites. I don't wear heels too much in the winter time, but I love a good heeled boot in replacement. Also, I am finishing up school for the semester and it is seriously stressing  me out. I have so much group work this semester which SUCKS. I can't wait until it's all over.

These are my Reed Krakoff heels. I've worn these in multiple outfit posts and love them to death. I actually scored them off TheRealReal for really cheap. They're definitely a bit worn, but I like that. They're the perfect white, strappy heel and go with anything in my wardrobe.

These are my Topshop Romy heels. I've talked about these numerous times and have worn them in multiple posts. I waited until they were on sale to scoop them, since they were a tad costly. I think they're so different and love the straps going up my leg.

These were a vintage find. I am not sure of the brand, since they are from the 1960's, but I think they are so chic. They're such a classic silhouette and the heel is a perfect height. They're a black suede material, and I love wearing them with some ripped jeans and a blazer.

I've had these heels forever. They are from Zara, and I love them. I love the nude pink color and the studs give them a rocker vibe. I love the strap around the ankle, it gives the shoes a more ladylike presence. They're also super comfortable to walk in.

These are my favorite chunky heels. They are from Loeffler Randall and I wore them not too long ago in an outfit post. I love the color-blocking and the coral bottoms make such a bold statement against the nude pink top. They aren't too easy to walk in, but they're so interesting and unique that I suffer through the walking!

What are some of your favorite heels?

Holiday Wishlist 2014

Monday, November 17, 2014

Hey All!

Sorry I haven't been too present lately. I've been kinda down the past few days. Early Saturday morning someone broke into my car and smashed my car windows. Not only did they damage my car, but they took my French Connection backpack, Marc Jacobs wallet with about $300 in cash, and basically everything that was in the 'What's In My Bag' post I did a couple of weeks ago. I'm just really upset about it. I loved all those things, and am really upset that I'll never see them again. It's not likely I'll replace everything either because it's way too expensive for me to do right now. It was just super bad timing and it got me really down. Anyways, my car did get new windows today and I replaced some of my NARS lip pencils that got taken. It just really sucks.

Here is my holiday wishlist though.... shop the post down below.

BRRRR

GUYS,

I'm freezing. It is so cold here in New England, a whooping 35 degrees where I live. Tuesday was beautiful. I'm pretty sure it was almost 70 degrees out and sunny. Now it's just frigid. I broke out my big teddy coat, as you can tell from the post! I wanted to style to jacket in just a really simple and easy way. I paired it with a tartan sweater, some raw hem jeans and a cute pair of heeled boots. I would wear this to lunch out with my friends, or maybe even just switch out the shoes for some flat boots to do some errands. I was also recently looking through my pictures, and realized I never do a lip color. I mean I sometimes do, but not often. I wanted to really give this look an added edge and threw on some red lipstick. It's Bite Beauty's exclusive lipstick for VIB Rouge members, peep it here. It's bold, but I think I like the results.

Also, I am on a complete shopping ban. I am going to NYC in December for my birthday, and need to save up as much as possible before going. I am literally forcing myself to not buy one single solitary thing besides ESSENTIALS. (food, gas, parking, etc.) I really want to have a good amount of cash saved up for New York, so I need to stick to this goal! That means this blog is going to be full of some repeated items. Sorry for the time being :|

Enjoy this look!

Tuck It

Tuesday, November 11, 2014

Hey All!

So today I just literally threw this together in about 30 seconds. It's all about being effortless! I love having pieces laying around that can coordinate with multiple other pieces in my wardrobe. I am loving turtlenecks, as if you couldn't tell. I have been wearing them non-stop. They are so cozy and effortless for this New England weather. It's going to get seriously cold this week, so I'm glad I'm stocked up. I paired the turtleneck with some basic khaki trousers, and of course my loafers. Forgive my loafer obsession, I just can't seem to pull myself away from them. I then pulled the look together with my new Acne Studios scarf! A very generous gift from my boyfriend! I can't wait to wear it all winter long!

New Beauty Buys

Thursday, November 6, 2014

Hey Everyone!

So I've been feeling spendy lately (not anything new) and I've been wanting to try out some products that I've never tried before, so I've ordered some stuff online and went into my local Sephora over the past week and here are the results...

I ordered some products from Glossier, which is the new beauty line introduced by Into The Gloss. I ordered the rose face mist, and the balm dot com, it's just not pictured because I left it at my boyfriend's house   -_-
I love both products though! The balm is great for cuticles, and really any sort of dry area that you have. It's thick, but I like that because it really feels like my skin is being nourished. I also love the face mist. I've been using it right when I get out of the shower, or right before I go to bed to leave my face soft and supple for when I sleep or for when I'm getting ready for the day. Check out Glossier products here.

I am no new fan of NARS, but I wanted to check out their Virtual Domination Palette that everyone has been raving about for myself. I saw it, and didn't like it that much. The highlighter is literally nothing but glitter, and the blushes aren't all that, and I already have Laguna. I knew I wanted a new blush and highlighter though, since I literally used every last pinch of my highlighter in my Nars Cheek Palette. I ended up picking up Albatross, which I LOVE. It's the perfect highlight shade for my skin color. It glides on beautifully. I also picked up a F/W 2014 blush. It's my new obsession. It's BEAUTIFUL. I have never went with a blush this dark and wintery. It looks amazing with a bronze eye and a neutral lip. It's called Almeria, and you need to pick it up immediately here

Last but not least, I picked up a new finishing powder. I've heard amazing things about the Laura Mercier Setting Powder, and I was not steered wrong. So far, I really like it. It gives me a great matte finish, and locks everything in place. It's also a great size, and will last me a while, which is awesome. View the powder here. I also ordered this Morphe brush. It's a deluxe buffer, and I've been loving it for applying my foundation. I needed a new foundation brush bad, and I got this for less than $10 with a discount code I had. I actually saw Jaclyn Hill using this brush in one of her tutorials, so that was probably the deciding factor for me. View it here.
