Monochrome, Again.

Friday, August 29, 2014

Hey There!

So I have another outfit post today! I don't know what's up with me lately, but I've been loving monochrome looks. I seriously can't stay away from black and white! I love putting together fall looks, so it's been a sort of a pain shooting them in 75 degree weather, but I seriously can't wait to cozy up in a big sweater and some boots! What are you looking forward to most for fall?

Spend Or Save?

Thursday, August 28, 2014

Hey There!

I haven't done a Spend Or Save in seriously like seven months. I like doing these because honestly I like to share my knowledge of stylish items that you can gets replicas of for a lost less. I love a good designer shoe, bag or item of clothing as much as the next blogger, but sometimes it's simply no feasible. Especially if you aren't getting paid for advertising or getting sent PR samples, like myself. My dream is to get paid to blog. It's what I want most in life. I would seriously love to get paid to interact through social media and blogging, because it's what I love to do. I would never work a day in my life if I had a job that allowed me to blog, style outfits, and talk beauty.

I always get so off topic, haha. Anyways, here's a spend or save!

sunglasses sos

I love sunglasses, but it's hard to spend $200 on glasses I could potentially break or scratch. Trust me, I have my share of designer eye wear, but sometimes a cheap pair is a good thing, because you can throw them around and not really worry to much about their condition. I bought the Topshop pair a while back and have been loving them. I love these Valley Eyewear shades, and they're definitely on my wishlist. They are similiar in color and in shape, but the Topshop ones are obviously more square whereas the Valley Eyewear ones are rounder. They're both great pairs and the Topshop ones are a great alternative!

Oversized and Strappy

Tuesday, August 26, 2014

Hey All!

As promised, here is a little outfit I put together for a shoot today. Absolutely loving this look. I love the look of the loose-fitting pullover with the structured trousers and heels on my bottom half. I love pairing loose silhouettes with structured ones all in the same look, like an oversized trench with a pair of skinny black jeans and either my Superga's or some slip-ons. It's all about mixing and matching different things! That's why I love styling looks, you can always come up with something different in outfits with the same pieces!

I would wear this look on a night out with friends when it gets a tad colder outside (it was about 85 degrees outside when I shot this). I think I am ready for the fall, but not for winter, which is always so close behind here in New England. This sweater is definitely one of my favorites in my collection. I love how oversized it is, but it is just so comfy!

(sorry for the massive stain on the tar I have no idea why this was the only shoe picture I took but I had to use it, haha)

Also, i started linking to everything I am wearing. I was wondering if people liked and appreciated that or if it might be a waste of time? Let me know!

As Always,

7 Images Currently Inspiring Me

Monday, August 25, 2014

Wow,

I am so sorry I didn't have time to post over the weekend! I've been hectic hectic at work and haven't had a minute to think about blogging or anything. For all of you that don't know, I'm a server. It sucks. I am the biggest introvert alive and talking and dealing with people's problems all day is seriously the most exhausting thing imaginable for a person like me. After every shift I refuse to go out or sit down somewhere and have a drink because I NEED to get home and have "me" time or I get so strung out and anxious. Sometimes being an introvert is so complicated, and to some people it may seem weird, but being alone is seriously what helps me unwind. It's my favorite thing. If you are an introvert or an extrovert, what are some routines you do that makes you, well..you? I would love to know!

Anyways, I will definitely have a styled outfit tomorrow up on here, but for now I have some images that I've found that have given me some motivation and have inspired me in different ways!

Review: Boscia Make-up Break-Up Cool Cleansing Oil

Friday, August 22, 2014

Hey Everyone!

As promised, I have a review of the Boscia Make-Up Break-Up Cool Cleansing Oil today! I left the Nikon 1 at my house, so I had to snap some pictures with my phone. They didn't come out that bad though.

Anyways, I really do love this oil. It has seriously made such an improvement to my skin over the short amount of time that I've used it. Every night, with a full face of make-up, I put on a headband to make none of the oil gets into my hair, and just start wetting my face with luke warm water. After my face is wet, and my mascara and eyeliner have started to run, I pump exactly three squirts of the oil into the palm of my hand. I use this many pumps because I will sometimes have a large amount of make-up on due to work, or an occasion that I'm attending. If I only have some face product and mascara on, then I will use 1.5 to 2 pumps. After the oil is in my hand, I will gently start smoothing it onto my face and rubbing it in with circular motions. I rub all over my face, including my eyes. It foams pretty quickly and I like that because you can see what you are actually cleansing on your face, instead of guessing when the product doesn't foam.

After my face is covered in black due to my eye make-up, I rinse with luke warm water again, and pat dry with a towel. I usually massage the oil onto my face for a good one to two minutes. After I pat dry, I will go in with a cotton pad or cotton ball and remove the access eye make-up that the rinse didn't remove. This oil is great for removing all make-up but it doesn't get absolutely everything. I have to use the cotton pad to remove whatever mascara or eyeliner there is left on my face.

Overall, I love this product. It is a great alternative to make-up wipes or just washing your face with a cleanser. It really does improve the quality and feel of your skin as well. My skin is baby soft now that I've started using this oil. I feel like it's really cleaned out my skin and my pores as well. It comes in a five ounce bottle which is plenty of product for how little you have to use.

City Chic.

Tuesday, August 19, 2014

Hey there!

So this was the last look that my friend Tyler and I shot. I know I said I would post this later on in the week but I'm at my boyfriend's house so post options were limited. I want to do a review of the Boscia Make-Up Break-Up Cool Cleansing Oil on Friday. I just don't have the product with me, so a review would be a little difficult, haha. I have to work the next two days, so that review will definitely be up Friday.

Anyways, I would wear this outfit around the city doing some shopping, or going out to lunch with a friend. I can dress it up, as it is here with heels, or down with some loafers or ballet flats. I love the vintage heels with this look but I was also thinking my Chanel espadrilles would look phenomenal as well!

I love a luxe leather jacket over a loose button up. They contrast so well together. I also am obsessed with these distressed boyfriend jeans. I think they are by far the comfiest jeans I own. And these vintage heels are EVERYTHING. I scooped them up in Cape Cod at a store called 'Vintage in Vogue' in Orleans. It had rooms filled with vintage designer clothing that I wanted to go crazy in, but seriously had to restrain myself to two items. The heels are from the 60's and they were only $20. I grabbed them immediately. They are such a classic silhouette and I can pair with so many pieces already in my collection. I can't wait to see what else I can style them with. I picked up the heels and also the bag from my 'Casual Neutrals' post a couple of days ago. It's a beautiful olive green leather bag from the 70's and it was also $20....

White Shirt Dress

Monday, August 18, 2014

Hey All!

How is everyone's day going today? Mine is going pretty well. I spent the afternoon with my boyfriend before he went to work, and then walked around and did a quick photoshoot with my mom. I have one more look from the photoshoot that Tyler and I did, and I will be posting that later this week.

I love shirt dresses. They are the easiest thing to style and look good with literally anything you throw on with it. You can throw on cute little loafers with a cardigan, or do what I did and dress it up with a pair of black booties. I realize there are a lot of photos, but I took my boyfriend's Nikon 1, so the images are better quality, so I liked the look of a lot of them.

Also, I kid you not, everything I have on except my jewelry, sunglasses, and bag are from Target. They have THE BEST fall clothing out! I picked up the booties, shirt dress, belt, sweater, black cigarette pants, and a gray tunic from there the other day. I couldn't stop myself! I wanted everything! If you live near a Target, get your butt over there because the selection is phenomenal. I love their clothing because it's extremely affordable, and the quality really isn't bad at all. I feel like their clothing just gets better and better. Also, Altuzarra for Target is coming out September 14th! You can peek the lookbook here! I hope you guys liked the ease and comfort of this look!

I also paired this dress with a sweater on top to transition this look into fall. I love the style of this sweater and the dress peeping out underneath.
